Superpuppan is Lennart Bergqvist's classic that also calls "puppan" or just "puppa". This fly pattern imitates a caddis pupa that have acended to the surface and are on its way to the shore to hatch. Originally designed to be fished as a dry fly, however it has also proven to be very effective when the pupas are sub surface too. A true multipurpose fly!. Fish it dead drift or with gentle retrieve now and then. Or let it skate on the surface towards the shore like the real swimming caddis pupas.
