Good starting rod

Have just had the rod out for a early morning session, it feels perfect for me just starting back into the sport after a longtime away. Casts great, the reel is the basic shakespeare beta, but hey it does the job well. The finish is decent on the rod, the addition of a few rigs and bits of tackle is good too. Enough to get you back into the sport. For the money not too shabby!

I very nearly spent over a £100 more on a rod but saw this Shakespeare catch more fish beach/pier combo & so glad I did.
It fishes well & the reel seems more than adequate.
Very pleased with the quality here & it proves to me you don’t have spend a tonne of money to get into sea fishing.
I’m sure
I’m loving this Rod to be honest & serious fishing is a good shop for sure (plus they don’t don’t use Royal Mail or Evri , Thank God)
