The All New Radian Fly Rod from Scott
Until now, youíve had to choose between a rod with power and line speed, or a rod with touch and feel. But thanks to Scott, those days are over. Fast and Feel have finally come together. Scott have dramatically increased recovery speed with new ReAct technology. By minimizing energy- sapping vibrations, ReAct creates fast action, high line speed rods with all the nuance and feel of a presentation rod.
Now, roll casts to a tricky seam, and short, delicate casts with fine 6X leaders are just as easy as long distance streamer deliveries to the opposite bank. And after the cast, when you need extended fishability, Radian rods give you incredible mending abilities and tippet protection without sacrificing the authoritative hook setting and fish fighting power you expect from a fast action rod.
But, itís more than advanced technology that make the Radian so amazing. Check out the components and workmanship. There isnít a finer production rod in existence. Features like titanium framed SiC stripping guides, custom reel seats with burled box elder spacers, the very top grade Portuguese cork, and the new patented Universal snake guides from American maker Snake Brand round out the most fully loaded rods to ever grace a rod rack. Each and every Radian is handcrafted start to finish in Montrose, Colorado by anglers who know fly rods. Scott Radian Fly Rods
Super light in the hand with tons of touch, yet capable of casting very tight loops and cutting through wind.
Quick, sensitive, and light in the hand, the 854/4 is right at home in small and medium size rivers with small and medium-sized dries and lightly weighted nymphs. Incredible feel and touch paired with control and line speed make this pure fun to fish.
The 8'6" five weight Radian loads at closer range than the 9' five weight, making this rod well-suited to fishing small to medium size freestones. The 855/4 will comfortably fish both dries and larger nymphs.
This is the rod for dry fly and light nymph fishing when long leaders and fine tippets are matched with long casts and complex mends. When your technical dry fly fishing needs wind beating line speed and loop shapes, take the Radian 904/4.
Truly an all-purpose fast-action 5 weight. The Radian 905/4 can turn over big flies or 16 foot dry fly leaders over a wide range of fishing distances. A powerful butt section paired with a sensitive tip make this rod incredibly versatile and almost effortless to fish.
The Radian 906/4 excels at delivering large and wind-resistant flies at longer distances, while offering a tip sensitive enough to protect tippet. When you need power to handle big trout, big flies and big winds, reach for this rod.
A great choice for tailwaters, high sticking, and stillwaters. This rod has a bit more power than the 9í 5 weight yet retains that sweet tip that helps with hook sets and tippet protection.
The rod for nymphing specialists. If you fish high stick nymph techniques like Czech or French styles, this is the tool. Light enough to hold out all day with a sensitive tip for quick positive hook sets.
A great rod for nymphing, fishing from a pram or float tube, and high sticking. The longer length helps control line drag and makes roll casting very easy.
