This package combo includes a guideline exp5 9' #5 rod, favo 4/6 reel and presentation evolve wf #5 line including dacron backing.
guideline exp5
By using new 24/30t graphite materials with reduced resin content, weight has been reduced a littler in most rods and balance has been improved noticeably. Action curves have been updated and refined to suit the competence level and casting style of beginner to intermediate casters even better than the previous rods did. The action can be described as a "forgiving" medium/fast flex that tolerates operator errors without sacrificing performance when loaded in the correct way.
All in all a very fun rod to cast and to play fish with. All rods are fitted with chrome- Finished hardware, lightweight graphite spacers, "non-tangle style" stripper guides and single leg hard chrome running guides. The finish is a pearlescent maroon/brown color with matching wrappings. Delivered with rod bag and a lightweight rod tube.
guideline favo reel
part of the design is unique and can only be achieved by using a die casting method where reels are produced from high precision tooling and then cnc finished before being coated with the final finish.the drag system is smooth, precise and well proven over years. It will give good performance even though it is not sealed. Normal care and maintenance is required when using the reels in salt water. There are 3 models available and they will fit rods from #4 up to 10/11.
The 79 and 810 models have a rim cage to stabilize the frame and prevent thin shooting lines from getting caught between frame and spool.
The 810 also features extra x-truss supports and has a double 5-spoke pattern both on the spool and the frame.the retrieve direction on the reels is easy to alter and only takes a couple of minutes. Favo has a dark gunmetal semi matte finish on the frame and spool, with black knobs and details. There are two orange metal plates with gl snake logo on the drag- And spool release knobs. Reels are delivered in a nylon reel case.
guideline presentation evolve
evolve means just that; improve and tweak higher floating through a more buoyant coating, especially noticeable in the tip area. Slicker and harder coating that stays that way also during hot summer days. It is designed to perform in tight, overgrown waters, where room for casting is limited.
The short belly offers a better chance to perform various presentation casts and speed-changes, even with the lightest of rods. With it s short head length this line is ideally suited for short range fishing or when wading deep. You could be misled into thinking that this line doesn t offer the control needed for presentation fishing, but don t worry; it sure does perform.
A dark grey control zone indicates the position of the back taper, between the belly and the handling line /running line. Looped front and a laser id marking about 50 cm up from the tip. Suitable for dry flies/nymphs/streamers in medium to large rivers and lakes. Color: lemon yellow/gray/chartreuse green.
