Daiwa 15 SALTIGA

Many anglers globally have enjoyed their best trophy fish with a SALTIGA; reels equipped with Daiwa's very best technologies – MAG SEALED - rigid aluminium body, bronze alloy gears, superior drag and light-weight ZAION Air Rotor. – Designed in the field they are Tough and Powerful.
But Daiwa engineers were never satisfied with this and aimed to take the technology levels even higher. It has been five years since 2010 SALTIGA was released. The new ‘15 SALTIGA with Daiwa's newest technology and highly improved performance is finally coming to the oceans in the world.

The new 15 SALTIGA keeps the current MAG SEALED construction on the main shaft but this ‘intelligent liquid' water barrier is now supplemented with the addition the MAG SEALED Ball Bearing. This unique and hi-tech ball bearing system is in the line roller and at the both sides of the drive gear. By making the reel body and line roller even more water-resistant, the durability of rotation extended smoothness of the gears and the line roller has been dramatically improved.

To deliver a smoother and more consistent drag, Daiwa changed the drag system. Thanks to improved spool stability and better high performance lubricants this ‘next generation' drag system starts smoother and keeps its torque delivery consistent during long fights, across its full drag range. This allows anglers to concentrate more on the fight.

Additionally, the hard and large arbor Hyper DIGIGEAR is used in all sizes. Daiwa redesigned the gear design to improve their durability.

Corrosion-resistance of other outer components has also been improved further. Each component was examined and evaluated with improvements applied. Outer aluminium parts are precision machine cut delivering an amazing look and providing great ownership satisfaction.

The 15 SALTIGA spinning reels are available from 3500 to 8000 (Dog Fight) to deal with the wide global variety of ocean game fishing, with each size between 4000 and 8000 available in low and high gear ratio options.
